Making a booking for an
intensive driving course with Essential Crash Courses [hereafter ECC] confirms
that you have read & agree to the following terms & conditions:

- ECC will use only DSA approved driving instructors to teach you to
standards set out by the DSA. Neither you nor your instructor will smoke in the
tuition vehicle.
- The full balance is to be paid by you either by: 1) cheque at least 14 days
before your course. 2) Direct bank transfer at least 7 days before your course.
3) In cash on the first day of your course - we prefer method 3. We will refund
your course fee minus 10% for handling & inconvenience should you have not
already started but need to cancel. We will not refund at all if course
started, but will move your remaining time once, to a mutually convenient date
then restart.
- Both parts of your provisional driving licence (card & paper
counterpart) valid for the UK and Northern Ireland must be provided. If you
hold an older provisional licence, photo ID is required. [E.g. Passport,
Student Photo etc] on the first day. You must tell us at once if you lose your
provisional entitlement to drive.
- You must be able to read a new style vehicle number plate from 67ft (20.5m)
If you need glasses or contact lens, these must be worn whenever driving, as no
lessons can be legally given while you have uncorrected defective vision.
- You must not be under the influence of alcohol, illegal or legal drugs that
actually make it unsafe for you to drive. If we (ECC) feel you're incapacitated
at any time, you will lose that particular days training and no refund will be
given.
- You must satisfy yourself with regards to the residency requirements laid
down by the DSA. If you are in any doubt, contact the DSA before booking.
- Any waiting time will be treated as constituting driving time. For example
if we have to wait for you at any designated meeting place, after the agreed
time.
- While every effort will be made by us, should you fail to reach a
satisfactory standard of driving, or are likely to be a danger to yourself,
third parties or property, we reserve the right to withhold use of the tuition
car on test, and will not refund you, so please ensure you book the right
course!
- We cannot be held responsible for any expenses incurred in the unlikely
event of the DSA cancelling your practical driving test. In such cases, all
complaints or claims are solely with the DSA, and must be made to them alone -
they make the rules, we only follow them.
- We will endeavour to retain the same instructor throughout your course.
However we reserve the right to change this policy in the event of ill health,
mechanical breakdowns or any other unforeseen circumstances. Although in
practice, it would be highly unlikely that your instructor would change.
